ASANAS

I use short 30 min. series

The goal is for the student to absorb a short sequence they can put into practice even if they don’t have much time.

I teach a Hatha yoga sequence with influences from Ashtanga, Yin, and Kundalini styles.

This isn't a yoga practice for sweating or doing acrobatics.

We aim to coordinate body movements with the breath and observe the sensations that arise after each pose.

I don't believe in muscle soreness.

We never force the body. Flexibility and strength come with practice, but they’re not the goal to strive for.

PRANAYAMA

The art of controlled breathing

The practice of Asanas removes blockages that hinder the flow of Prana (vital energy), and the practice of Pranayama regulates the flow of Prana in the body.

Breathing techniques bring mental balance and willpower by regulating the student’s thoughts, desires, and actions.

There is a whole section dedicated to breathing techniques.

MEDITATION

In a world full of distractions, our ability to concentrate grows smaller every day. Society moves so fast that we lose the ability to be present. Always focused on the next thing we have to do, we become unable to enjoy life, which only happens in the present moment.

We are a society that escapes from its emotions through screens. We’re addicted to the reality-escape offered by new technologies. Now more than ever, it’s crucial to learn techniques that help us connect with ourselves.

En mis clases, después cada Asana y cada Pranayama, el alumno toma unos instantes para observa las sensaciones que han surgido en su interior.

In the final part of the class, the student will meditate on two principles: the breath and the body — the keys to connecting with the subconscious mind.

ANAPANA

By observing the involuntary cycle of inhalation and exhalation, accumulated tensions are released.

Esta técnica ayuda a soltar el control y dejar que la vida fluya a través de nosotros.

EXTERNAL OBJECTS

When the mind is too restless, it’s easier to meditate using external objects. The candle is one of my favorites.
